Sacred India Tour October 18 – November 4, 2010

Monday, October 18 – We fly from the USA to Trivandram, India. On the Southwestern tip of India, Trivandram is in Kerala, a beautiful State well known for its rich heritage in Ayurveda. We will have 7 days panchakarma treatments for detoxification and rejuvenation. This delightful retreat will offer us an experience of India in a wonderful healing environment. Nearby we will visit Kovalam Beach, do backwater rafting and visit sacred temples. You may read more about panchakarma here. We are staying at the Ayurvedic Beach and Lake Resort

Wednesday, October 27 – We fly to Dehra Dun in Northern India and drive to Rishikesh located on the bank of the Ganges River and by the foothills of the Himalayas. We will spend 4 nights in Rishikesh at the Great Ganga Hotel in Rishikesh. Rishikesa is a Sacred place of pilgrimage. We will visit several temples and ashrams listed below.

Harki Pauri- Haridwar
It is believed that it is precise spot where the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains. Har ki pauri is also the area where thousands of pilgrims converge and the festivities commence during the Kumbha Mela, which takes place every twelve years,

Friday October 31 – We fly to New Delhi and drive to Vrndavana, the Village of Bhakti, 90 miles SE of Delhi.
